Opening doors: CH welcomes fee-assisted day students For the first time in Christ’s Hospital’s history, fee-assisted day places are now available, opening new opportunities for families. While the school has long offered both boarding and day places, extending its renowned means-tested support to include day students ensures that more young people can access a transformative CH education, regardless of their circumstances. This is a significant development that builds on Christ’s Hospital’s existing provision. Alongside scholarships in art, drama, music, sport and academics, and its long-established bursary scheme for boarders, the addition of fee-assisted day places offers families an important new way to access a transformative education at CH. It reflects the school’s determination to remain true to its founding principles while also adapting to the needs of modern families. Day students who receive fee assistance will be fully immersed in school life. They will benefit from the same teaching, facilities and co-curricular opportunities as boarders, from the richness of music and drama to the intensity of sport and the depth of academic life. The addition of fee assistance ensures that the unique Christ’s Hospital experience remains open to a broader range of students than ever before. The initiative is designed to support families who are drawn to Christ’s Hospital’s distinctive ethos but who may not otherwise have been able to consider a place. For many, the option of a day place that comes with financial support will be transformative. It offers the flexibility of day schooling while retaining the strength of a community that has shaped generations of young people for almost five centuries. ‘Christ’s Hospital has always believed that education has the power to transform lives. By launching our first ever fee-assisted day places, we are building on our proud tradition of accessibility. These places will open our doors to more families and ensure that talented young people can flourish here. This is a moment of real significance in the school’s history and reflects our commitment to both excellence and inclusivity.’Matthew Judd, Head & CEO Find out more here about fee-assisted day places - who can apply, and the entry and application process.
