A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with our team of recent leavers during the 2025 Telephone Campaign. Our callers loved reconnecting with the CH community, sharing stories from their own experiences and hearing so many wonderful CH memories.

We are incredibly grateful that more than 300 Old Blues, parents and friends pledged more than £158,000 — unlocking an additional £30,000 of generous match funding from Old Blue Trevor Tomkins (60-66 MaA, ColB) to support our 21 Futures Appeal. Your generosity is a true testament to the strength, spirit and lasting connections of the CH community.

THANK YOU!

We asked our callers to sum up their experience and tell us what they enjoyed about speaking with Old Blues...

'I really enjoyed finding common ground with people who were at the school up to 60 years before me. It was a good reminder of the privilege it was to go to CH. This made calls less daunting, as being an Old Blue is a unique and unifying trait to have, so it has been great to network with people throughout the campaign.

This role allowed me to build on the unique connections CH fosters between Old Blues and parents in the best way, for the wider benefit of the school.'
Deborah (LHA, GrE 17-24)

'The advice that some people were regularly giving out, and those speaking about their experience and how it affected them for life.

It was a fantastic experience, which was fun and different with every call.'
Joshua (MaA, GrE16-23)

'Comparing stories and experiences at CH and hearing about their times and all the differences.'
Michelle (ThB, GrW18-25)

'The funny stories of what they got up to when they were at school and the various career paths they’ve taken.'
Mariam (BaA, GrE18-25)

'What CH was like for them and what mischievous things they used to get up to back in the day.

I developed strong communication and persuasion skills.'
Manasvi (ColB, GrW 18-25)

'I enjoyed speaking to people who were in my boarding house, and who went to the university that I was going to.

I got the opportunity to do something good for my old school, as well as speaking to alumni that shared fond memories and advice that I will never forget.'
Sienna (BaB, GrE 18-25)

'Hearing their stories of what they got up to at CH.
It was a great experience to learn key communication skills and to speak to Old Blues with similar interests to me.'
Ellie (BaA, GrE 18-25)

'Shared and differing experiences alike, the pearls of wisdom most are so willing to share and the support they are happy to give.

An awesome opportunity to connect with alumni to gain but also give advice to people I spoke with whilst raising funds for a worthy cause that was a support to me.'
Manuela (LHA, GrE 17-24)

'Very enjoyable experience in which I related with parents and Old Blues about the
wonderful experience at CH.'
Ashlyne (LHB, GrE 20-25)
