On 8 May, Grecians were presented with a special leaving gift from Christ’s Hospital as they approached the end of their school journey. Each student received a bespoke glass block, engraved with The Charge and featuring a 3-D projection of the school’s iconic Dining Hall - serving as both a memento and a reminder of the responsibility and values they carry forward.

This was also an important moment to reflect on the philanthropic support that sustains Christ’s Hospital today. Students were reminded that their own experience has been made possible through the continued generosity of Old Blues, parents, and friends - funding approximately 25% of the school’s running costs and supporting 76% of students through bursaries.

We were also delighted to welcome Hoyeon Chang (PeA, GrW 18–25), former Senior Grecian, who spoke about the lifelong value of the Old Blue network, and Martin Crick (LHB, LaA 78–85), Chair of the Benevolent Society of Blues (BSB), who highlighted the support available to members of the CH community throughout their lives.

As these Grecians prepare to take their next steps, we are deeply grateful to our donors whose support has already made a lasting difference. The Charge reminds us that this mission depends on each generation: with your continued generosity, we can ensure that future pupils benefit from the same transformative opportunities.
