Last week, Christ’s Hospital was delighted to host a City Livery Dinner at the Garrick Club, generously hosted by Old Blue Sir David Green CB KC (1964-1971).

Bringing together 30 guests, predominantly Old Blues who are also Livery members. The evening was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and strengthen the School’s longstanding relationship with the City.

What stood out most was the sense of a community within a community: individuals united by their shared experience of Christ’s Hospital and their active roles across the Livery and City networks. Many had themselves been supported by their Livery Companies during their time at School, reflecting the deeply personal nature of this historic partnership.

In his remarks, Head & CEO Matthew Judd spoke of the importance of this community helping to open doors by using its networks and influence to introduce new supporters to Christ’s Hospital and extend the reach of this unique relationship.

Conversation flowed easily throughout the evening, with guests actively exploring how their networks might help bring this to life.

We are hugely grateful to all who joined us, and particularly to Sir David for his generous hospitality. The evening has created real momentum, and we look forward to building on this important and influential network within the City.

A final note: we invited all Old Blues known to us who are members of the Livery. If you weren’t included this time and are part of a Company, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Please do let us know at [email protected]
